Breakfast Stout launched in collaboration with local coffee roaster

Tring Brewery are proud to release Dagmal Breakfast Stout, brewed in collaboration with local, independent coffee roasters Bionic Bull of Hertford.

Dagmal is a robust stout boasting oats and lactose for body, finished with Bionic Bull’s house blend of Columbian, Brazilian and Ethiopian coffee beans.

Available in both bottle and draught keg, Dagmal is a nod to the Viking raids that were believed to have occurred in Hertfordshire. In 895 AD, where the River Lea flows through Hertford and Ware, King Alfred erected fortifications to fend off Viking longboats.  On the days of their raids, the Danes would have been powered by ‘Dagmal’, old-Norse for a breakfast meal.

Ever a supporter of local producer, Tring Brewery are proud to sell Bionic Bull’s House Blend coffee beans both instore and through our webshop. Likewise, Bionic Bull will sell Tring Brewery bottled beer in all three of their Hertford Coffee Lab, Hitchin Coffee Lab and Ware Coffee Lab locations.
